Wedding in Yosemite

A notable wedding of the season which took place in Yosemite Valley, July 28, was that of Miss Anne Brake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Brake of this city and Dr. Morton Ryder of New York city. The picturesque setting for the impressive ceremony which was solemnized at high noon was the Royal Arch Meadows with Half Dome in the foreground.

The bride was given away by her father and her only attendant was her sister, Mrs. Howard Thurston, of this city. Howard Thurston was best man for Dr. Ryder. The bride's gown and that of her attendant were in keeping with the setting, combining many of the beautiful tints of the Sierra flowers. Her bridal bouquet was of Queen Anne's lace and Innocence. Miss Carol Weston, a violinist of prominence, rendered a most beautiful selection during the ceremony.

A wedding breakfast, perfect in every detail, was given in honor of the bride and groom by Mrs. D. A. Curry and family at Camp Curry after which Dr. and Mrs. Ryder left with their pack animals for several weeks in the high Sierras.

Mrs. Ryder is a graduate of the university with the class of 1918 and also of the Bellevue hospital of New York. For the past year she has been superintendent of nurses at the Temple hospital in this city.

Dr. Ryder, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Ryder of Carmel, New York, is a graduate of Cornell and at present is connected with the New York hospital.

After returning from the high Sierras and a visit to Lake Tahoe, Dr. and Mrs. Ryder will sail by way of Panama for New York city where they will make their home.
