There is some resemblance between the person on the far right of Watkins' stereoview #3051, showing "The first tourists who made the ascension of the Half Dome", and a caricature of the solicitor and barrister in the Straits Settlements, Samuel Robert Groom, sketched in the later part of the nineteenth century. The caricature is reprinted in the One Hundred Years of Singapore, Vol I, John Murray, London, 1931. Is that the same person?
